Natalie Fideler is the front-person of her self-titled power trio currently based in Minneapolis, MN. Her solo music career began in 2018 with the release of her debut album “Steak & Eggs” which features Natalie herself on all instruments and vocals. She now performs with a band consisting of herself as the songwriter on guitar, keyboards, and lead vocals, Hailey Jacobsen on bass, and Leigh Underwood on drums.

Natalie’s indie nerd-rock combines her love for composition and songwriting into catchy tunes that will leave you dancing and ripping your heart out at the same time. Her vulnerable lyrics transform each song into a story that speaks the truth of raw human experience, whether it be tongue in cheek or right on the nose.

Natalie shares this on “Three Man Army”:
“Three Man Army is one of the first songs I wrote all by myself. I was 14 years old and had just had a falling out with a dear friend, and was coming to terms with the notion that not everyone will like the real me…I eventually retired the song when I was in college thinking it “sounded too young” and I was sick of it. But one day many years later, I was doing a pandemic livestream concert from my living room and my fiance/drummer Leigh heard me play the song for the first time. Once I had finished the tune she said to me (verbatim because the stream is archived), ‘Question. Is there a reason that we’re not playing that one full band?! What’s wrong with you?! It’s a great song, it’s funky. Why aren’t we doing it full band?!’ I thankfully decided to bring the song back.”

“When it came time to structure a record, I knew this one had to be the title track. The name comes from the lyric, “I’m sick of losing all these fights with my three man army: me, myself, and I.” I thought it was a great way to capture symbolically that this is my solo project and I myself am a forced to be reckoned with, but also that my power-trio was my artistic lifeline during the pandemic.”
