Up and coming pop singer KICCC has released his new self-love inspired single, “Wine.” It is KICCC’s fourth single in anticipation for his first full-length album, The Water Knows, coming Summer 2020. This single is the finale in KICCC’s three-part trilogy, following, “Here” and “Control” that will also have an upcoming music video, dropping in July 2020.
“For me, “Wine” is like an idyllic morning. It’s the feeling of sleeping in and knowing that the world outside of my window is still moving, with or without me. It sounds a bit dark but to me, it’s a peaceful thought. It’s loving and forgiving myself when I give in to selfish priorities, and not having to explain myself to anyone.” -KICCC
“Wine” is a dreamy and melodic soft pop song that conveys a similar feeling of taking an afternoon nap outside on a nice day. The inspiration for this single came after KICCC realized how out of tune people can be with themselves and feeling guilty about giving into selfish forms of self-care. KICCC recorded this single at Doobdoob Studios in Seoul, South Korea, and ultimately wrote it to remind himself that in order to care for others, he must also take time to care for himself.
