Canadian psychedelic rock band The Brandy Alexanders share their 6-minute music video for “Space Opus” from their self-titled album out now via Gypsy Soul Records.

The music video, directed by Canadian filmmaker Lisa Mann and takes place in an alternative universe, was filmed at a local stone quarry in Ontario.

“Space Opus is an ethereal experience of rock and roll psychedelia,” said the band. “Heavy moments and sparkling melodies lead you through an intense soundscape of guitars and synths with lyrics embodying tragedy and hope.”

The 9-tracks sum up a mix of 60’s inspired psychedelia with heavy guitars, melodic vocals, and pulsating synths. From the first guitar riff on the opening track, “Ceiling Fan, Man” to the 6-minute epic closing track, “Space Opus” each song has its own energy, orchestration, and a wide range of influences from The Rolling Stones to Tame Impala.

“Our brand new self-titled album is an amalgamation of everything we’ve been working towards for the past 5 years since forming, The Brandy Alexanders. We hope you enjoy our take on the psych-rock genre.”
