Stanthony is an eclectic, multifaceted and unpredictable character. A creative who is rooted in the music of the past and breathes modern music to the fullest, generating a kind of musical short-circuit that is perfectly summed up in the sound of his new single “Champagne.”

Growing up in a home environment where The Beatles, Pino Daniele and Yes replaced cartoons and nursery rhymes, Stanthony graduated in piano from the Verona Conservatory.

But curiosity in the golden years of MTV made him crazy about artists such as Daft Punk, J.Lo and Pharrell Williams, leading him, in this evolutionary and exploratory journey of his, to develop a well-rounded vision of music without limitations or constraints.

His musical experiences have led him to play any genre, from heavy metal to funk to fusion and then to the current form of this chameleonic character. Stanthony’s Genesis occurred in 2014, a time when his first tracks emerged, oriented toward R&B, whose major influences include Drake, Ty Dolla $ign, Big Sean, Frank Ocean and The Weeknd.

But Stanthony does not know how to stop at one point in his musical quest, so over time he has integrated soul and boogie sounds juxtaposed with artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Chaka Khan, and Pino Daniele.

Today Stanthony after a long period of stagnation, re-emerges with “Champagne” the first track that comes as a living, personal creature. REThe single, which is released along with a video directed by Marco Jeannin, was produced by Simone Piccinelli at La Buca Recording Club.

Piccinelli and Stanthony shared a live experience on the promotional tour of a Paletti album, and since then there has been a harmony and synergy that enhances Stanthony’s compositional and creative abilities and pushes the boundaries of his production beyond unprecedented boundaries.

Stanthony comments on the single saying:

“Inside ‘Champagne’ are my classical piano training and my love of R&B, held together by a somewhat orchestral arrangement. I’m not surprised that I sought out these soundscapes; I know I really like orchestral music. In fact, in addition to legends like Beethoven and Dvořák, I appreciate composers like Piccioni, Herrmann, and Ogerman.

It is really peculiar how this single stems from extremely human feelings and emotional states, in their simplicity and banality, and how it evolved into something so sonically cinematic.

“Champagne” is Romance in its extreme: listening to this song is like diving into a pool of moods and suggestions, i.e., the legacy of a brief adventure gone wrong.

This tune vibrates so much, and that’s why I like it.”

The single, which is a preview of the upcoming new album, is available on all major digital platforms.
