This is about taking back the power. I people pleased for so long, including going along with things people would advise me on, and it took a long time for me to realize, this is MY story. I know who I am, what sound I’m looking for, and It’s time we as women rise together, reclaim our art, and let our voices be heard. I’m hoping this song and story will inspire other artists and female creatives to speak up, stay true to their message, and realize their worth.”
