Melbourne, Florida is where rocker Tony Oso calls home. He’s an electrical engineer by day and rocker by night. And rock he does on this new single, “Tears.” I don’t know if this was by design, but “Tears” has quite an eerie feel to it. His vocals are very reminiscent of Peter Schilling’s “Major Tom” (look it up). But the music shows flashes of experimentation (is that a clarinet?) that wouldn’t sound out of place in an Olivia Tremor Control song. This all makes sense when you see that he describes his music as ’80s new wave meets ’70s classic rock.
Tony’s music is motivational, inspired by his debilitating spinal conditions he suffered in 2019. Having suffered through excruciating pain, his goal is to motivate others to persevere no matter the circumstances through his music.
Tony’s career highlights include opening for Sister Hazel, opening for The Goo Goo Dolls and competing on America’s Got Talent. Tony music has now accumulated over 100,000 streams.
Everybody loves a good, spooky rocker this time of year. You’ve got a great one here, with “Tears.”
“Tears” is out tomorrow. Keep an eye out for more singles from Oso, as he works on his debut LP, due in 2025.
