Photos by Sharon Steele – Mac Sabbath is a satirical heavy metal tribute band that parodies the iconic music of Black Sabbath with a fast-food-themed twist. Self-described as “drive-thru metal,” the band blends elements of classic heavy metal with absurd and humorous lyrics that critique corporate greed, fast-food culture, and modern society’s consumption habits.

Formed in 2014 in Los Angeles, California, Mac Sabbath quickly gained a cult following due to their outrageous stage antics, elaborate costumes, and unique concept. The band members perform as caricatures of McDonald’s mascots, with vocalist Ronald Osbourne (a play on Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne) taking center stage in a clown costume. Other band members include Slayer MacCheeze on guitar, Grimalice on bass, and the Catburglar on drums—each decked out in exaggerated fast-food-inspired attire.
