Photos by David Molnar – The sun dipped low over the lush hills of South Deerfield located in Western Massachusetts as theTreehouse Brewery Company kicked off its 2025 Summer Concert Series with blues-rock powerhouse Gary Clark Jr. on June 30. Known for his searing guitar solos and unique sound, Clark brought a fiery energy to the brewery’s outdoor stage during the first of two shows. Fans gathered in droves, beers in hand, to witness one of modern blues’ most influential voices take command of the night.
When Gary Clark Jr. took the stage, the air buzzed with anticipation. Launching into a blistering rendition of “Catfish Blues”. With his effortless cool, he tore through crowd favorites like “Ain’t Messin’ ‘Round” and “When My Train Pulls In” drawing roars of approval from the audience beneath the clear summer sky. Clark is no stranger to the Summer Concert Series outdoor stage, the guitarist also played the venue in 2024. Clark is also scheduled to perform on the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, in Ontario, Canada on Aug. 31.
Opening the evening was Alabama native Lamont Landers, a soulful blues guitarist and singer. Landers was also a singer and guitarist on Season 14 on the television show America’s Got Talent. Landers charmed the crowd with his vocals and heartfelt playing, telling fans that one of the first songs he ever learned on guitar was none other than Gary Clark Jr.’s “Bright Lights.” The moment set the tone for a night as Landers paid tribute to the artist who is helping shape his musical journey.
The June 30 performance marked the inaugural show of Treehouse Brewery Company’s two-night run with Clark, with a second show scheduled for the next day.
