By David Molnar – By the time the gates open on July 17, 2026, the Levitate Music & Arts Festival will once again transform the Massachusetts South Shore into a two-day vibrant playground of music, creativity and community. Fans from across New England will stream into Marshfield wearing their best summer tie-dye and an eagerness to soak in one of the summer’s most beloved music and arts festivals. Artist’s murals will dot the grounds giving festival goers the chance to watch creativity unfold stroke by stroke. Everywhere you turn, the festival promises color, sound and energy far beyond the two main music stages.

This year’s musical lineup is packed with 17 performers perfectly suited for Levitate’s laid-back but electric atmosphere. Saturday headliner Alanis Morissette is expected to deliver one of the weekend’s most powerful performances, bringing decades of iconic songs to the Stoke Stage, the festival’s main stage. Reggae legend Ziggy Marley will fill the summer air with uplifting rhythms while Sammy Rae & The Friends bring their blend of funk and indie-pop energy to the crowd. While folk favorites Caamp are set to provide the perfect soundtrack for sunset moments on Sunday. More musicians will also be performing on the Levitate Foundation Stage, the fesitval’s smaller, more intimate third stage.

Local favorites, The Elovaters will also hit the Stoke Stage on Sunday with their breezy reggae-rock sound that feels tailor-made for a summer weekend. The energy will only continue to rise with the explosive brass-fueled funk of Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, whose performances are known for turning entire festival grounds into nonstop dance parties. Rock duo Larkin Poe will bring roaring guitar riffs and soulful harmonies adding another layer of musical depth to an already stacked weekend lineup. From folk and reggae to funk and rock, Levitate 2026 promises a soundtrack as diverse as the crowd itself.
But the magic of Levitate stretches far beyond the stages. The Artisan Fair will feature artisan vendors offering hand-blown glass, locally crafted pottery, handmade clothing and jewelry that reflects the festival’s grassroots spirit. Families can explore the Kids Zone, where parents and Levitate volunteers guide outdoor games and creative activities designed to inspire the next generation. More than thirty locally sourced food trucks will keep fans fueled with barbecue, handmade pizza, smoothies, baked goods, and farm-to-table specialties. Vendors across the grounds serve craft beer, cocktails, and eco-friendly canned water beneath the July sun. For two unforgettable days in Marshfield, Levitate will once again become more than a festival, it will be a celebration of music, art, family and community.
