Emerging blues-rock band Tobacco Road are thrilled to release their new single “Back In My Groove,” available now on all streaming platforms HERE. The track marks the beginning of the band’s next musical chapter and serves as the first taste of a new project set for release later this year.

Built on electrifying guitar work, soulful vocals, and groove-driven instrumentation, Tobacco Road continues carving out their own lane in the modern blues-rock scene. Whether on the road, in the studio, or rehearsing in their Nashville garage, the band brings a magnetic chemistry that turns every performance into a shared experience.

All five members played a key role in shaping the production, with a focus on preserving the rawness and grit that defines their live show. “Back In My Groove” comes from a place of collaboration, struggle, and the boldness to imagine life on the other side of it — a fitting reflection of who Tobacco Road are becoming.

Sonically, the single is a punchy, high-energy rock & roll track, but it started simply: with an acoustic guitar lick from Nashville artist Ben Chapman, one of the band’s longtime favorites. In their first write with husband-and-wife artists Ben Chapman and Meg McRee, Briggs and Annabel were searching for a spark. At the time, the band was in the thick of its first summer on the road — waiting tables in the mornings, rehearsing for hours in a hot garage at night, and feeling the weight of the early artist grind. What came out of the session was “Back In My Groove,” a song about finding confidence and perspective again during a chaotic season of life.

Drawing inspiration from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Susan Tedeschi, Fleetwood Mac, Maggie Rogers, and Marcus King, Tobacco Road fuse Central Texas spirit, Louisiana blues influences, and North Carolina roots into a sound that feels both timeless and refreshingly modern.

In just their first year as a band, Tobacco Road released their six-song debut EP All In Time and shared stages with rising acts including Winyah, Penelope Road, and Marlon Funaki. Their live show has quickly become known for its high-energy performances, emotional honesty, and undeniable connection with audiences.

At its core, Tobacco Road captures the highs and lows of growing up — navigating love, loss, identity, and self-discovery while celebrating the feeling of finding your people along the way.

In support of the new single and the band’s upcoming project, Tobacco Road will tour throughout 2026. Full tour dates can be found below.
