As they build toward the release of a new full-length album, due in 2027, alternative trio Beach Weather – Nick Santino, Reeve Powers and Sean Silverman – today unveil their new single, “New Aesthetic.” With more than 11.5 million monthly Spotify listeners and a catalog that has amassed more than 2 billion global streams, the band mark a new chapter with a track that takes their sound into darker, more visceral territory.

Hypnotic and emotionally charged, “New Aesthetic” explores the moment desire becomes obsession and devotion begins to erase the self. The track sharpens everything that has made Beach Weather resonate with a global audience—provocative lyricism, cinematic atmosphere and undeniable hooks—while pushing the band toward something more vulnerable and dangerous.

“New Aesthetic” follows a run of career-defining success that has established Beach Weather as far more than a streaming phenomenon. Their breakout hit “Sex, Drugs, Etc.” reached No. 1 at Alternative Radio, entered Spotify’s Billions Club and has earned Gold or Platinum certifications in at least 12 countries, including 2× Platinum certifications in the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Poland. The song also landed at No. 3 on Billboard’s 2023 year-end Alternative Airplay chart and No. 5 on the year-end Rock Airplay chart.

The band have continued that momentum at radio with “Unlovable,” which reached No. 11 at Alternative Airplay, and “High in Low Places,” which climbed to No. 15. Beach Weather were also nominated for Best New Artist — Alternative & Rock at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards and have appeared on national television on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Across their previously released albums, Pineapple Sunrise, Melt and its expanded edition Melt’d, Beach Weather have developed a signature sound that balances seductive melodies, atmospheric production and the uneasy tension beneath Santino’s lyrics.

Onstage, the band have translated that connection into an increasingly expansive live presence, including a sold-out North American headline tour, arena dates supporting Pierce the Veil, tours with Young the Giant, The Beaches and lovelytheband. They have performed at major festivals including BottleRock Napa Valley, Hangout Music Festival, Shaky Knees, Life Is Beautiful, Summerfest and Brazil’s C6 Fest, as well as a performance at iHeartRadio’s ALTer EGO.

The band are now bringing this next era to audiences with a slate of upcoming headline shows, festival appearances and support dates with 311, followed by an appearance at 8123 Fest in January 2027. Tour dates are available here.
With “New Aesthetic,” Beach Weather is opening the door to something darker, bolder and more unfiltered—setting the stage for the next chapter of the band and their forthcoming 2027 album.
