Pop Singer-songwriter Tarralyn Ramsey is getting ready to release her new single “Jesus, We Need You” on April 2nd. This new single follows the success Tarralyn has had over the years starting with her self- titled debut album at 13 years old on Verity Records, one of the most notable gospel record companies in the industry. Her self-titled album peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Gospel charts and resulted in nomination for several Stellar Awards and spawned the breakout hits “Tell It” and “Unconditional Love.” Following her time at Verity Records , Tarralyn was featured on VH1’s BORN TO DIVA where she impressed iconic judges like Queen Latifah, Sharon Osbourne and Patti LaBelle to become the winner of the competition. Following this win, Ramsey signed with Casablanca/Universal Records where she charted on the Billboard Pop Charts with her smash single, “Up Against All Odds.” Now Tarralyn is tapping back into her roots with new single “Jesus, We Need You.”
When asked about her new single “Jesus, We Need You” Tarralyn said, “I wrote this song one night some years ago while flying home. The pages of my notebook were stained with tears as I sang the melody and wrote the lyrics of “Jesus, We Need You”. It was clear to me that this song was echoing of a time where so much would be going on in the world. I believe in my spirit that the time is NOW! JESUS WE NEED YOU!”
Music has been a passion in Tarralyn Ramsey’s life from a young age. That passion bloomed when she was signed to a recording deal at the tender age of thirteen.
