Tameera is releasing her first EP “My Mind” consisting of six songs that could be classified as Indie Pop enriched by R&B characteristics on June 25. The debut EP consisting of six songs, unites her previous singles and enhances them by adding songs that are matching the atmosphere and completing the story told. The entirety of all songs narrates the artist’s personal journey and growth.
Multilayered vocals, warm basses, filigree orchestral elements and handpicked electronic sounds combined with juicy harmonies and honest, thus powerful lyrics – this is the very essence of Tameera. Applied in a multitude of ways, the young artist manages to create on one hand melancholic and dreamy, on the other hand energetic and vigorous soundscapes by using these components creatively and pushing their boundaries. Although her individual sound is hard to classify, her music is often recognized as Indie Pop enriched by several R&B characteristics.
Born in 1998 in Paderborn, Germany, Tameera alias Tabea Meusch discovered her love and passion for music from an early age and received her first musical education starting at the age of 6. After taking piano lessons for several years during her childhood, Tabea also engaged with singing when she turned 13 years old and determined this to beher vocation. She has taken on several musical projects ever since, namely singing in a variety of bands and choirs and therefore has despite her young age many years of experience in the field to offer. After her high school graduation in 2016, she finally moved to Osnabrück, Germany, to study music and vocals and to pursue her dream of becoming a professional musician. During her training at the local university she dived deeply into the process of writing and recording her own songs and developed her characteristic and unique sound, that she showcases in her debut EP “My Mind”, which will be released worldwide at june 25th 2021.
Besides the carefully designed soundscapes, the 23 year old singer is also very intentional about the subtext, that her songs convey: “All of the EP lyrics are inspired by issues and stories that deeply affected me emotionally at the time of the song’s creation. Whilst working on this EP I was able to overcome certain situations and to process unpleasant experiences and I am grateful for the opportunity to share the solutions I’ve found for myself with others.”
The musician also craves to bring her songs to life on stage and is currently working on a live show with her band: “The covid-19 pandemic deems all creative artists as well as the whole cultural sector to an ordeal. Especially newcomers have a hard time entering into the music business. Nevertheless I remain full of hope, looking ahead. 2021 will be a very exciting year full of chances”, Tameera states.
