“I consider myself ridiculously fortunate to be able to say ‘I will’ rather than ‘I remember when’,” she says. “So, as I tell you I am returning to North America imminently to perform again for whomsoever may care, and that I am beyond delighted by this brilliant fact, you can take me at my convoluted word!”
Strongly focused on the new album, Alison will be performing her reworked material including fan favorites such as “All Cried Out” and “Love Resurrection,” assorted deep cuts, new tracks, including the recently-released “Such Small Ale,” and some Yaz highlights. A reworked collection of her solo material, the Keyalbum presents a blazing showcase of the extraordinary and enduring music that she’s released in the last four decades.
Alison says of her new album, “I wanted to take the opportunity to look at the trajectory of the past four decadesand explore songs that, in their original form, were never fully realized or have had theirrelevance to me altered by time.”
Having stepped out of Yaz and fired up a solo career with her groundbreaking debut album Alf 40 years ago, Alison’s unmistakable voice – big enough to fill a stadium and yet intimate enough to make you feel as though she’s singing just for you – has taken her on quite a journey releasing ten studio albums, and career highlights including three BRIT Awards and a GRAMMY® nomination.
Alison says “Live work really matters to me. I love the physical feeling that singing gives me. It’s totally primal and euphoric. On stage, I remember how to connect with myself.”
This will no doubt be an incredible tour, and fans are encouraged to secure their tickets as soon as possible to avoid missing out!
