Smiling proudly outside her local record store Encore Records, it’s been a week of wonder for home-grown girl Sarah Buddy. In the past week Sarah, from Waterloo, has not only witnessed the release of her orange vinyl debut album ‘Sparks Fly’ on Record Store Day on October 24, but her feel-good fabulous sounds have been played across Ontario on two popular radio shows.
‘Thanks to Craig Norris on CBC KW for playing my track ‘Dark Shadows’ on his Drive-Time Morning Show and also on his show “In The Key Of C” which goes out across the whole of Ontario’, said Sarah.
With her feet on the ground, Sarah’s heart is soaring. Months of hard work and a unique partnership with Canada and the UK have finally come together, pushing through the pandemic and proving that music will find its way.
Sarah also thanks Encore Records, Kitchener, for stocking her orange vinyl album for Record Store Day on October 24, and thanks Microforum Pressing Plant, which Sarah visited last week, for the unique experience of witnessing the orange vinyl ‘Hot off the Press’ being made into her album!
‘Sparks Fly’ has been co-produced by Nick Coler, who has previously worked with Alice Cooper and Kylie Minogue.
Several tracks feature Malcolm ‘Molly’ Duncan on sax (Average White Band – ‘Pick Up The Pieces’). Sarah comes from Waterloo in Ontario, and her vocals were recorded in Studio A in Kitchener, Ontario.
