Today, award-winning Canadian country star Andrew Hyatt, announced his highly-anticipated, forthcoming EP L Is For, set to be released on January 5th via 604 Records and all streaming platforms.

Produced by Derek Hoffman (Arkells, Silverstein, The Trews), L Is For is a collection of five acoustic tracks that focus on Andrew’s experience with separation and betrayal. The EP showcases a more personal side to Andrew then we have seen before, with each song offering a vulnerable and emotional narrative.

“L Is For … is easily my most personal record to date. In the last twelve months, I’ve been through hell. I used writing as a tool for healing and every song on this record is a separate stage of coming to terms with a separation and betrayal. This music was written as a way of dealing with the hurt and lows, I never intended to release these songs but through many conversations with my team and friends I feel that maybe they can help others with healing,” said Andrew Hyatt.

Joins 2024 Country Mixtape Tour With Shawn Austin and Tyler Joe Miller

The EP’s title track, “L Is For,” tells the story of how Andrew’s marriage came to fall apart and sets the tone for the rest of the record. The storytelling continues with “Finding Firsts,” which reminisces on experiencing first moments with the person you once were in love with and “Give Up On Me,” an honest reflection of the past and taking responsibility for failures after seeing the relationship from another perspective.

Andrew’s raw vocals and insightful lyrics are also displayed in “041,” a song about dealing with the process of accepting a loss even though you did all you could to make it work and ”Can’t Go Home,” written about the idea that a house doesn’t make a home.

Andrew is looking forward to continuing to share more of his story on the newly announced co-headline 2024 Country Mixtape Tour alongside rising Canadian country stars Shawn Austin and Tyler Joe Miller. The 20-date tour launches in Victoria, BC on April 9th, and will take the trio across the country with stops in Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal and more, before wrapping in Peterborough, ON on May 4th.
