Following the announcement of an international tour later this year, Cœur de piratereturns with “Cavale”, the self-titled lead single from her highly anticipated seventh album, arriving this fall. A soaring emotionally charged pop anthem, Cavale is now available on all major streaming and download platforms – and for radio, on 45tours.ca.
“As soon as you saw that my heart was set to escape
You leaped at the chance to take a break
But where, where will you go, where will you go?
When your regrets come back to haunt you
What do you expect, what do you expect when you keep breaking it off?
More than once, twice as little.”
True to form, Cavale explores themes of longing, regret, and tangled love – hallmarks of Cœur de pirate’s lyrical world. Set against a driving, euphoric beat, the single channels the spirit of Springsteen, turning escape and return into an exhilarating sonic journey.

After a three-year hiatus, Cœur de pirate – Béatrice Martin – makes a powerful return with Cavale, an album filled with luminous, emotionally rich pop songs. Each track tells an intimate story grounded in universal emotion – echoing the fears, doubts, and desires that shape our lives. Created alongside long-time collaborator Renaud Bastien and Nicolas Subrechicot (Zaho de Sagazan), the album reflects Martin’s life between Montreal and Paris, both of which she’ll visit on tour this year.
The upcoming tour will also include dates across Quebec and the rest ofCanada, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. Full tour details and ticket information are available at coeurdepirate.com.
The single was written and composed by Béatrice Martin, with co-production by Nicolas Subrechicot (keyboards) and Renaud Bastien (guitar, additional tracking). It features Benjamin Dousteyssier on saxophone and Félix-Antoine Beaudoin on drums. The track was recorded at Les Studios d’en Face in Paris by Sébastien Salis and Florent Livet, mixed by Livet with support from Loïc Grenouillet, and mastered by Chab.
