Dashboard Confessional today released their cover of Elvis Presley’s iconic “Blue Christmas” as part of the Spotify Singles: Holiday collection, which includes a wide range of covers and originals, from artists across a myriad of genres, in hopes of connecting friends and family from afar as they listen. “I’ve always loved Christmas songs and I’ve always loved Elvis. What better choice could I have made for our Spotify Single than ‘Blue Christmas,’” says Chris Carrabba of the cover, recorded at NYC’s Electric Lady Studios. “We delved into some seriously dreamy territory for our take on this classic Christmas song.” This 2020 collection marks the third year of Spotify Singles: Holiday and also features songs by Camilo, Sasha Sloan, Jazmine Sullivan, Black Pumas, Ryan Hurd, Ruston Kelly, Julien Baker, and more. Past installments have also seen contributions from John Legend, Norah Jones, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, Sam Smith, and Demi Lovato, among others.

Earlier this year, Dashboard Confessional shared their debut installment in the Spotify Singlesseries, which featured a reimagining of their breakthrough hit “Screaming Infidelities” as well as a cover of Post Malone’s “Circles,” both also recorded at Electric Lady Studios.
Dashboard Confessional’s first-ever career-spanning compilation,The Best Ones Of The Best Ones, was released in January and kicked off this year’s DC20 20th anniversary celebration. A vinyl reissue series, The Early Days, followed and spotlighted the albums and EPs that defined the band’s formative years, including: the first-ever pressing of 2001’s The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most; the long-awaited vinyl re-release of 2000’s The Swiss Army Romance; and the first-ever pressing of their iconic, Platinum-certified live album MTV Unplugged 2.0. Dashboard Confessional also recently partnered with Mondo to release three EPs for the very first time on vinyl: 2001’s So Impossible, 2002’s Summers Kiss, and a newly created Spider-Man 2 EP.
