Los Angeles quartet Dead Poet Society have shared the video for “.SALT.” The track is darkly seductive, with a quiet push-and-pull tension. “We wrote this song about getting f*cked over by certain people in our career,” the band explains. “People we thought we could trust, people who we never could have foreseen doing the things they did. Over the course of our career, we’ve met and worked with a lot of people — many of whom have been a blessing and have largely contributed to our success. But as a band, especially in the early years, there were sharks out there. This song is straight from the heart.”

The band will return to the road this spring supporting Biffy Clyro, who hand-picked the band for the bill. The tour kicks off April 17 in Chicago and runs through May 9 in Los Angeles. All dates are below. The band will also return to Europe this summer for festival season, where they are set to perform at Download in the UK and Full Force in Germany.

Dead Poet Society are poised to have a major year in 2022. The band released their debut album -!- (said as “The Exclamation Album.”) a year ago and have since accumulated over 30 million global streams, with over 10 million in the U.S. alone. The single “.CoDA.” was a Top 15 single at radio, spending over 20 weeks on the chart. The track was also featured on Spotify’s Rock This playlist. The band hit the road last fall in support of Badflower and made appearances at the Welcome to Rockville and Louder Than Life festivals. Across the pond, the band appeared at the Reading and Leeds festivals. At Reading, they drew one of the biggest crowds of the day. Watch footage of the definitive performance HERE.
