Vancouver duo Fionn (Alanna & Brianne Finn-Morris) release the official music video for their new alt-pop single “All Good.” Directed by longtime collaborator Lindsey Blaine, the video is reminiscent of a 90’s teen movie, featuring the sisters as a pair of grunge cheerleaders who are anything but peppy.

As we were listening to the song over and over in the mixing and mastering process, I had the image of two bored cheerleaders come into my head due to the opening line “baby let’s go”. It sounds like the start of a cheer, but there isn’t anything peppy or cheerful about the way I’m singing it,” explains Brianne. “I told Alanna what I was picturing, and we talked it over for days, letting it slowly evolve into a mini coming of age movie about two cheerleaders defeating their evil gym coach with some good old fashioned rock and roll.”

The new single follows Fionn’s Celtic inspired single “Picnic On The Moon,” where the duo returned their singer-songwriter roots to introduced a new, authentic folk-pop sound that takes the best of both their folk background in story-telling and their pop-forward songwriting/production style. In returning to their roots, Fionn aren’t abandoning the fiery aesthetic they’ve developed over their past couple records; they’re adapting it into the sound that wholly represents them as artists and individuals. Their collection of new music was compiled over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the twins collaborating mostly remotely with a handful of producers including Carly Rae Jepsen keyboardist Jared Manierka, Max Cunningham of soul pop trio Ludic, and Juno winner KevinMaher of Fake Shark.

Fionn are fully embracing their most authentic era yet, with music encapsulates vulnerable story telling with a folk-pop flare.  For the latest content and new music updates, be sure to follow @fionnband across social platforms or visit www.fionnband.com.
