After the successful release of her single Love Gone Right, Alessia Cohle has been putting her own stamp on country music. She recently released Wild Eyed Wanderer, the follow-up EP to her FACTOR funded, full-length album, Talk To Me. She has opened up for Brett Kissel, River Town Saints, The Washboard Union, and George Canyon; as well as performed on festival stages such as Lucknow’s Music In The Fields, Havelock Country Jamboree, Manitoulin Country Fest, and Toronto Cider Fest.
Alessia had the privilege of performing as part of the house-band at CCMA Music Week 2016 & 2017 performing with artists such as Meghan Patrick, Jason Blaine, Dean Brody, Jess Moskaluke, Tim Hicks, and more. Alessia is the recipient of the 2018 Marty Award, the 2018 Mississauga Music Award (Best Country), the 2017 Ron Lenyk Inspiring Youth Arts Award, showcased at Indie Week (2016 & 2017), performed at multiple festivals throughout Ontario, showcased in Nashville, toured Canada on the VIA Rail Artists on Board Program, as well as splits her time writing between Toronto, Austin, and Nashville.
Her support of charitable causes includes co-writing “Make A Change” for the charity Tikko Travels, performing for Verona’s Voyage for Sick Kids Hospital, and writing “Weight of You”, an anti-bullying song leading to a partnership with the Kids Now program. Her love for all styles of music has helped Alessia define and create her own unique musical style, joining the next wave of artists who continue to push the future of country music.
In June 2019, Alessia was selected to attend and showcase at the MIDEM Music Festival and Conference in Cannes, France. Held over 4-days, MIDEM is a global music gathering of top music industry executives and producers from all over the world. Alessia represented Canada on stage, performing her full set of songs alongside to French music fans and MIDEM music industry attendees.
Alessia’s current single, “Tell You“, was co-written with Jason Blaine in Nashville, TN and was produced by award-winning producer Karen Kosowski (Madeline Merlo, Tim Hicks, Kira Isabella). The single broke the Top 80 Country radio charts, and put Alessia into the Top 20 Female Artists played on Country Radio.
