Jaidson, a rising pop and R&B artist, released his latest single, “Smoke Screens,” as part of his futuristic project, “Unburdened Effect.” The single, featuring producer Voix, continues Jaidson’s signature blend of pop and R&B with innovative production. Jaidson’s previous single, “Call Me,” received significant attention, paving the way for “Smoke Screens” and his upcoming project, “Retro Feelings.”
Hi Jaidson. Thank you for taking time to have a chat with us. Your latest single, Smoke Screens, is a part of your futuristic project, Unburdened Effect. Can you walk us through the creative process behind the track and what inspired it?
Unburdened Effect has been a most enjoyable journey for me as an artist, with Smoke Screens been part of this adventurous project. This was inspired by the idea to create a unique sound and yeah it was a success, once we started working on the music project, creative ideas just kept popping up.
Call Me was a big success. How do you feel about the response it received, and how has that influenced your approach to Smoke Screens?
Call Me honestly had to be lit, cos we was just concluding the era of music promotion “Psychotherapy”, which was really a massive music project, Call Me was influenced by sound from the likes of Daft Punk. And more so I have always wanted to produce music with high Pop rhythm and Call Me posed the perfect opportunity, bless our fans who have been on this creative journey.

Your debut studio project, Psychotherapy, gained significant attention after being featured on BBC Introducing. How did that experience shape your career?
I can still remember the night BBC Introducing sent the email, confirming Psychotherapy was going to be aired on their show, don’t even ask about my excitement (over the roof). The massive traction was amazing with this publicity paving way even for future projects.
You’ve developed a unique blend of pop and R&B, mixing romance-infused melodies with innovative production. How would you describe your signature sound?
Growing up, I guess Pop and R&B music was all I listened to. Over time I studied and observed the different pop culture eras (synthetic pop, alternate pop, electronic pop) and gradually began to blend the different pop music styles and hence crafted my own signature sound.
Can you talk about your collaboration with producer Voix on Smoke Screens? What do you think his contribution brings to the track?
Producer Voix, is one of the most creative producers in the North East of England, bringing a creative blend to every music project, his ability to interpret the music vision is absolutely class with Smoke Screens depicting immersive creativity.

With over 100K streams on Spotify, you’re becoming a rising star in the industry. How does it feel to see such growth, and what has been the key to building such a loyal fanbase?
With over 100K streams, I honestly have to thank all those, that have been with me on this creative journey (The Jaidson brothers (Emmy, Favor) and my friend Catherine). The key has always been developing new ways to reach more audience and converting them to loyal fans at same time enjoying the music creative process.
Unburdened Effect is a huge project. What can fans expect from the full collection, and how does it differ from your previous releases?
Unburdened Effect encompasses all eras of pop and R&B music at same time maintaining a blend of modern pop infusion, with project aiming at being a Classic.
You’ve been featured on BBC North East Introducing, expanding your global reach. What does it mean to you to be getting this kind of exposure?
I honestly guess, we got the music sound right (been featured on BBC North East Introducing) & hopefully continue on this creative path with more awesome music.
You’re already working on your next project, Retro Feelings, set for release in March 2025. Can you give us a sneak peek into what fans can expect from that?
Wow, I have been soo committed to my latest music project, Retro Feelings. For the past few months, myself and my team have been working in order to creat a masterpiece project.
As you continue to redefine the soundscape of contemporary pop and R&B, what goals or aspirations do you have for the future of your music career?
