Premiering today exclusively on CMT Music and CMT.com is multi-platinum artist Jade Eagleson’s official music video for his single “Shakin’ In Them Boots.” Currently sitting in the Top 10 at Canadian country radio and following up his fourth #1 this summer, “Shakin’ In Them Boots” has been fueling Eagleson’s live show since its release with its up-tempo fiddle and classic dobro licks.

“It’s been a dream of mine since I was a kid to release a song we could do a proper two-step to,” said Eagleson on the inspiration behind the video. “It’s no secret that legendary artists like Shania Twain and Alan Jackson have played a big role in my influences over the years, so I wanted to honour those music videos I grew up watching and bring a bit of classic honkytonk into this one.”
Embracing the 90’s aesthetic that fans have already come to love from Eagleson, the video for “Shakin’ In Them Boots” was directed by the multi-award-winning Ben Knechtel (Carly Rae Jepsen, Niko Moon, The Reklaws, James Barker Band). Full of high-energy, choreographed scenes inspired by nights spent inside a classic honkytonk, the video modernizes the moves with a face-off between two sets of bar patrons who ultimately decide they are better in pairs, two-stepping the night away. Fans can even see Eagleson take on some of the fancy-footwork himself; well sort of…

Eagleson has made quite the mark on the international country music scene in his short years. Boasting 250+ Million Global Streams and 99M+ views on YouTube since the debut of his self-titled album (2020), which holds three GOLD-certified and one PLATINUM-certified singles and the title of most globally streamed debut album by a Canadian-signed country artist. Eagleson is the only male Canadian country artist to ever land 3 back-to-back #1s (“She Don’t Know”, “All Night to Figure it Out,” “More Drinkin’ Than Fishin’” feat Dean Brody) off only his second full-length album release, following in the footsteps of his longtime hero Shania Twain, who is the only other Canadian country artist in history to do the same. Coming off a busy summer of shows including Calgary Stampede, Budweiser Stage (Toronto) and countless festivals, recently Eagleson took home a CCMA Award for Top Selling Canadian Album with his sophomore release Honkytonk Revival. Fans are encouraged to keep an eye on Eagleson’s socials for show announcements coming soon.
