Canadian Country Recording Artist Justin Fancy recently released “Better Than You”, the first single from his forthcoming sophomore studio release, due out on September 30, 2022. The track, which reminisces about a relatable lost love, features Justin’s undeniable vocals, world-class production, and his unique mix of classic country songwriting with modern country-pop elements.

Hailing from Conception Bay South, Newfoundland, Fancy has quickly become one-to-watch on the Canadian Country music scene. Following the release of his debut album “Sure Beats A Good Time” in September 2020, Fancy was named Music NL’s Country Artist of the Year and Rising Star of the Year and went on to land a Top 50 Country Radio hit with his single “Makes Me Wanna”, which peaked at #42 on the Billboard Canadian Country charts. The song also landed the #1 spot on Sirius XM Radio’s CBC Country chart, holding the top position for three consecutive weeks.

Fancy then went on to become the first-ever Canadian Country Recording Artist to be invited by The Recording Academy in Los Angeles to perform on their Press Play At Home concert series on Grammy.com.

The release of “Better Than You” comes just ahead of the 2022 East Coast Music Awards in Fredericton, New Brunswick, where Justin is nominated for Country Recording of the Year, Solo Recording of the Year, and Fan’s Choices Entertainer of the Year.

Justin performs two shows during ECMA Week at The Cap (362 Queen St, Fredericton, NB) Thursday, May 5 at 11:30 PM as part of the Rising Star Showcase, and Friday, May 6 at 9:15 PM.
