Following a monumental year that included an international tour, her first CCMA Award and being crowned the SiriusXM Top of the Country winner, Canada’s fastest-rising star SACHA is kicking off 2023 with the release of a new single, “Confident.” Teaming up with the JUNO-nominated Tyler Shaw, today’s release marks a new milestone for SACHA. The powerful track puts the importance of mental health at its forefront, an issue both SACHA and Shaw are passionate about.
“This song hits home for me when it comes to my personal journey in becoming CONFIDENT, which is still on-going,” said SACHA of the new single. “I hope that many will resonate with the lyrics and find comfort and peace knowing that they are not alone and that this is a common struggle we’ve all faced, especially over the last few years. Vancouver-born singer-songwriter Tyler Shaw joins SACHA on the track. The pair came together through the powerful message behind the song and the mutual desire to normalize the struggles we all face. Coming off his own sold-out national headlining tour for his self-titled third studio album, Shaw is also no stranger to success with over 10 top 10 singles in Canada and multiple GOLD and PLATINUM-certified tracks to his name.

Written by Griffen Palmer (Chelsea Cutler, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, The Band CAMINO) and Geoff Warburton (Shawn Mendes, Five Seconds of Summer), the vulnerable, anthemic new single gives fans a look at another side of SACHA’s musical breadth. While traditionally country through the release of her previous EPs and singles, the award-winning artist grew up with musical inspirations across genres, anchored in pop music. Coming together with Shaw, the two breakout Canadian artists are the perfect vocal pairing in what is sure to be one of the most impactful songs released this year.
In addition to today’s release, SACHA will add another career milestone to her ever-growing list tomorrow when she takes the stage at the NHL All-Star Game in Florida to sing the Canadian National Anthem.
