Maude Audet promises even more gentleness with the release of a new single, “Violet Room” available now on all digital streaming and purchasing platforms. “Violet Room“, is an English adaptation of her song “Quatre nuages”. This last track closes the parenthesis of Translations, an album released last April, on which Maude Audet revisits a selection of songs from her repertoire in Cohen’s language. Like an ode to a close-knit family and the warmth of a caring home, the song borrows from folk and country music in its simple way of wrapping everyday life in silk. Maude Audet’s “Violet Room” is, among other things, the soundtrack to the tears of joy that slowly roll down our cheeks, the soundtrack to the embraces of people who love each other. Joining “Carry Me Again’’, released in August, it completes (more) Translations, an improved version of the album.

I’m inviting the sun

Eternal as my love

Just as warm as your arms

Our roof in the sky

As our home sings all day long
