Have you ever tried dancing in the street alone when the world’s asleep with nobody to judge? If you have or are feeling emboldened by the idea, Born-and-raised East Londoner Millie Turner has just the perfect company for your dance in the moonlight on her latest single “Concrete Jungle.” This wonky, dance-pop banger is available immediately via AWAL Recordings, and will be followed-up by an 8-track mini-album called Eye Of The Storm on May 16th where fans will find a rework of breakout song “(Breathe) Underwater.”
Turner likes to create backdrops when writing. Expanding further on today’s release she explains “Concrete Tragedy takes place in the late night streets of London, when the world is asleep but your imagination is alive! It encapsulates the liberating feeling of dancing through streets alone with the shadows, you become so in-tune and in love with the world in darkness and yourself in it.”

Like most, Millie’s 2020 had taken something of a chaotic turn – she had started touring with leftfield pop phenomenon Tove Lo only to have Covid-19 strike. But, much like the message of her recent tracks, her music remains spirited & uplifting. That youthful joy in her music could be filed alongside that of Sigrid’s, or the cathartic emotional purging of Lorde. Her release of single’s Jungle & January found international success, charting on Italy & Germany’s radio charts
