Today, Nashville indie R&B artist Boyd has announced new album Fall Collection Vol. 1, due out October 28th on SAVsound Music Group and shared raw new single “Black Rose”. With R&B meets bedroom pop sound and narrative lyricism, Boyd’s storytelling is genuine, of a past love who would garnish her bedside table with roses, until they wilted, devoid of color. The track tells a tale of his own now ironic connection with the decaying petals, a symbol of his lost love.
Fall Collection Vol. 1 is a culmination of creative efforts from the young members of Nashville’s leading hip-hop collective – SAVsound. Inspired by the works of hip-hop/pop pioneers such as J.Cole and The Weekend but refusing to adhere to one sonic aesthetic, Boyd’s sound is something uniquely authentic. The flow of this earnest compilation will pull you in, but it’s his crisp lyrics that will keep you hitting repeat.
