Hopeless romantic Nate DiRuzza appeals to the heart of his listeners with his newest album, The One. The concept album tells the circular story of a dizzying love. Beginning with a rose-colored glasses mindset, each song takes an unexpected turn in this tumultuous love story.
The fourth studio album possesses a distinct 70’s sound, yet full of modern energy. “I think we created something brand new that has a nostalgic vibe to it and I’m really proud of it,” DiRuzza proclaims. Vintage sounds and classic rock production are intertwined with inspirations from genres such as folk, pop, and indie.
Originally meant to be an acoustic EP of about 6 songs, producers Dan Hodges and Jamie Tate suggested fully producing some of the tracks. Nate recalls the moment he first heard the magic of full production, “I felt like my music was coming to life. I had never imagined how it would sound.” Consisting on 11 tracks, The One features previously-released singles “I and You,” “Madness,” “Playa del Amor” and “Heartless.”
Pre-order The One to hear the unreleased track “Second Hand Kiss” off the album, available on Amazon Music. “Nate DiRuzza has such a great mixture of genres and sounds in this incredible album,” states Burning Ground Entertainment owner, Dawn DeJongh.
