Never one to shy away from a good time, Nate Haller is continuing the celebration of his Top 10 debut single earlier this month by delivering a rowdy party to Canadian airwaves. Bringing together some of Canada’s favourite country voices, Nate’s new single “Somewhere to Drink,” features 2021 JUNO Awards and multi-2021 CCMA Awards nominees The Reklaws and Brett Kissel and is available everywhere today.
Coming to life in a house shared by Nate and Stuart Walker (The Reklaws), “Somewhere To Drink” perfectly captures the ease found in a night spent with best friends. Reminding listeners that a good time is always just around the corner when you’re with the right people, the track delivers the perfect soundtrack for a good time. Jump in the truck, roll down the windows and turn it up because ‘it doesn’t matter where you’re at, downtown or way out back,’ the party is never far when you’re rolling with your crew.
“The first time I heard this song I knew I had to record it,” said Nate of the new track. “My favourite moments from the past year have been totally unplanned and spent with those who mean the most to me. From the basement of our house to a field in the middle of nowhere, my adventures these last two years were always just what I needed to escape what was going on and almost always included finding somewhere to hang with friends.”
Written by Big Loud’s 2021 CMA Award nominee Michael Hardy,Matt Dragstrem (Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett) and Brett Tyler (Maren Morris, Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, Florida Georgia Line, Jameson Rodgers), “Somewhere To Drink” allows Nate to showcase the distinctive vocals he’s quickly become known for. With its relatable lyrics and upbeat tempo, the track is sure to become a quick fan favourite, securing Nate’s position as THE new voice to watch in country music.
Commanding the spotlight early on, Nate released his debut track “Lightning In A Bottle” on March 31, and in just a few weeks (week of April 20) it grabbed the #2 most added spot at Canadian country radio and landed more adds than Canada’s own Justin Bieber and country-superstar Luke Bryan. The debut track landed Nate his first Top 10 hit at Canadian radio. This was followed up with his digital-only release of “Grew Up On,” an autobiographical track that looked at his journey from a small hometown in Ontario to playing with some of Canada’s biggest music acts.
No stranger to success already, Nate has had an unmatched year. The Ontario-native boasts an incredible 3M+ streams across just two tracks, was named iHeart Radio’s Future Starearlier this spring, held a spot as semi-finalist in the SiriusXM 2020 Top of the Countrycontest, was chosen as part of the Spotify RADAR program, was featured as the front cover of Apple Canada’s Country playlist and was chosen as Amazon’s Breakthrough Artist for September 2021. All this in less than a year since his debut on the country music scene.
Fans can catch Nate Haller on the Budweiser Stage tonight (September 24) in Toronto with labelmates Dean Brody, Jade Eagleson and The Reklaws.
