For some, a ten-year high school reunion is a night where people can discuss all the major milestones they’ve met, the goals that they’ve accomplished, and the success they’ve seen over the last decade. For others, this event can raise questions such as “am I falling behind?” Delran, New Jersey-based pop-punk band All Systems Go tackles this with their new single, “No One Does Homecoming Like Us.”

The idea behind the track sparked from a post that vocalist/guitarist Matt Pezza saw on Facebook about how his own ten-year reunion was around the corner, and upon seeing it, he reflected on the past several years of his life and compared himself to his classmates.

“I think we’ve all had those moments where we feel like we’re falling behind or we’re not doing as well as we want to be doing,” the band says about the track, “As a band, we really hope that this song encourages anyone who feels the same way to break out if they feel stuck or complacent, step out of their hometown, look for a better job, reach for higher goals, etcetera.”

The uptempo instrumentals and catchy melodies continue to showcase the band’s pop-punk sound, and the lyrics aim to motivate listeners to strive for success and a brighter future, in whatever way that means for them.

About All Systems Go:
All Systems Go is a pop-punk band from Delran, NJ. The band formed in July of 2016 sfter the 4 original members had gigged together in high school (2011-2013) but had taken a break from writing and playing music since then. The current lineup consists of Matt Pezza (vocals/guitar), Devin Kollmar (vocals/guitar), Dean Mason (bass), and Joe Codispoti (drums). With the well-blending voices of the two vocalists, fiery riffs and solos, jumpy bass lines, lead-style drumming, and high energy on stage, the band creates a sound that has been described as “pop-punk with rock & roll vibes.”

After a couple of years of playing local shows in South Jersey bars and restaurants and handing out demos on burned CD’s, 2019 was a notable year for the band. On January 21st of that year, the band released their debut album Garden State Skies. It was self-tracked and mastered in the members’ homes, and was mixed by LA producer David Snow. The album is currently signed to a deal with Snow’s publishing company, HipKat Entertainment. A few months after this release, the band had decided to head to their local studio, Blue Light Digital Sound in Mt. Holly NJ, to begin working on their next record with producer Jaime GoWell. This was a quick decision that was initiated by Matt meeting Jaime at a local open mic after winning free studio time with Blue Light in a drawing. ASG finished a strong year with their sophomore record, an EP entitled The Waiting Room, released on December 6, 2019.

After spending more than a year through the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic pushing their EP with online content, the band was able to scale their monthly listeners from tens of people to a few hundred and triple their following on all social media platforms. Complemented by the return of live shows in 2021, the band is currently working with producer Nik Bruzzese (of Man Overboard) on new music to be released in the fall and winter, with bigger music and show plans for 2022.
