Photos by Orest Dorosh – Brooks & Dunn is an American country music duo consisting of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. They were formed in 1990 and became one of the most successful and popular acts in country music history.

Kix Brooks, originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, and Ronnie Dunn, from Coleman, Texas, met while working as solo artists in Nashville, Tennessee. They were paired up by record executive Tim DuBois and quickly found success with their debut single “Brand New Man” in 1991. The song topped the charts and established Brooks & Dunn as a force to be reckoned with in the country music world.

Throughout their career, Brooks & Dunn released numerous hit songs, including “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “My Maria,” “Neon Moon,” and “Only in America.” They won multiple awards, including multiple Grammys, ACM Awards, and CMA Awards, and were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019.

After more than 20 years of making music together, Brooks & Dunn announced their retirement as a duo in 2010. However, they reunited in 2015 for a series of performances in Las Vegas and have continued to tour and record new music sporadically since then. Their music continues to be beloved by fans around the world and they remain one of the most iconic duos in country music history.
