He first gained fame as a member of the band Drive-By Truckers, where he contributed as a guitarist and songwriter from 2001 to 2007. Isbell then embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album “Sirens of the Ditch” in 2007.

Isbell’s music blends elements of country, rock, and Americana, and his songwriting often explores themes of love, loss, and addiction.
