Photos and by Review by Orest Dorosh – Alter Bridge kicked off the North American leg of their Pawns & Kings Tour earlier in the year and on February 11th they made their triumphant way to the History club in Toronto. They are touring in support of their latest musical venture titled Pawns and Kings with the support of Wolfgang Van Halen

Alter Bridge is an American rock band formed in 2004, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Myles Kennedy, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips. The band is known for their powerful live performances and their heavy, riff-driven sound, as well as Kennedy’s soulful, soaring vocals. If you attended the Alter Bridge concert in Toronto, it’s likely that you experienced a high-energy show with tight musicianship and dynamic, emotional performances. Fans of Alter Bridge’s studio albums would have certainly been pleased with the live renditions of their favorite songs, and the band’s stage presence and interaction with the crowd would have made for an unforgettable concert experience.

The sold out crowd welcomed them wildly and were treated to Silver Tongue as the opening song which went on the include 12 more songs plus a couple more for the encores. Complete set list is list below.

The band led by Myles Kennedy ripped through the first seven songs before slowing down for a couple of acoustic offerings – Watch Over You and In Loving Memory. By this time the sold out crowd was hoping that they would play all night long. Then the pace picked back up with their timeless classic song ‘Blackbird’ and then on to the final three songs before the crowd begged them to come back for an encore.

Alter Bridge was highly appreciated with many begging for a return gig before too long. They have rightly earned their place among rock and roll legends.
