Photos and review by Amanda Daubert – Philly based indie rock band, Mo Lowda & The Humble, might be the best band you’ve never heard of, yet. With unmatched passion, an insatiable drive, immense talent, and the alluring charm of life-long friends you’ve just met, band members Jordan Caiola (vocals, guitar), Kirby Sybert (guitar, keyboard), Jeff Lucci (bass), and Shane Woods (drums) are impossible not to love.
Since their debut album Curse the Weather in 2013, Mo Lowda & The Humble has continued to fight for their much deserved position on the rock charts. With powerful vocals, a warm-rich sound, and incredible song-writing, the only thing better than Mo Lowda’s recordings are their stunning live performances, and Saturday night was no different. .
Taking the stage in a room filled with family, friends and fans, the energy and support for this amazing four-some was palpable. The setlist featured fan favorites like “Power Trip,” “Jumping at the Shadows,” and “Get Your Ready Coat On” which was briefly interrupted by what sounded like a strike on the lanes adjacent to the stage. The set also featured two singles off their upcoming album, “Beachtown” and “Kya.” Fans were also treated to a visit from the infamous hometown hero Jelloman who shared his love, and several Jello shots, delivered to the crowd via slingshot and a crowd surfboard. The night ended with an encore featuring the unreleased song “All Good Fun,” and an oldie but a goodie, “Where the Whitetails Go” with a garage style jam session deserving of the grandest stage. The hometown crowd roared as they gave the Mo Lowda boys the send off they deserved!
