Canadian-based, pop singer NIIVA releases her debut self-titled EP on October 30 via REVE MUSIC / Believe Digital and all streaming services. The EP is filled with thoughtful lyrics and mesmerizing vocals, exhibiting NIIVA’s ability to weave relatable stories with conversational ease.

The self-titled EP focuses on love and relationships, and the good and bad that comes with them. NIIVA’s organic Pop melodies course through the entire EP and boasts writing credits from Terence “TEE” Lam (Drake, Chika), Lauren Mandel (LØLØ) and Sammy G & Bobby Brass from Kuya (Alessia Cara, Meghan Trainor), who also handled some of the incredible production of the EP along with production from Matt Beckley (Camila Cabello, Avril Lavigne), Adam Josh (Loony, Shopé), Giordan Postorino (LØLØ) and Analog In The Digital (PRETTY MUCH).

The popular single “Love Games” recounts an addiction to toxic love through smooth and seductive R&B sounds while amassing over 200K streams and the latest single “Trigger” offers up sultry sounds with laid back beats and rounds out an impressive debut EP that keeps listeners coming back for more.

“This EP is warm and surreal trips to LA, and cozy at-home studios in Toronto; it’s young and naive, and bold and untouchable; it’s old flames and new fires; it’s strength and vulnerability,” said NIIVA. “I could not be more proud and excited to share it with you.”

NIIVA’s career has been quietly on the rise, from signing with VLVT Tree / Warner Chappell for a USA publishing deal and a 10 day writing trip to South Korea with SM Entertainment – a major K-POP label (Red Velvet, BoA), she also sang background vocals for K-POP artist, Taeyeon’s latest single “Happy“, which reached #1 on the iTunes Charts in 15 countries and has shared the stage with incredible artists such as Shawn Hook and Ria Mae.

Originally born in Bulgaria, NIIVA (Gabriela Geneva) moved to England and spent her childhood in the UK before making her way to Vancouver at the age of 15. After moving to Canada, she drew on her musical influences and experience of different cultures to refine her sound and song writing abilities as tools to develop her career.

The 7-track EP is a suave and polished collection of songs that embodies NIIVA’s unique sound.
