An artist of the highest integrity, Francois’ music is stunningly thorough and enchanting.

Francois recently released “Paper Planes” – a sunset-staged ballad filled with incredible musicianship, harmonies, and sonic quality. A love song inspired by the beauty of the golden hour at the beach, Klark’s “Paper Planes” is as much of an experience as it is a song. His brand new, cinematic video for the song is due out this Friday, October 8th, and is as captivating as the music itself.

About “Paper Planes”:

The video for “Paper Planes” is the perfect compliment to the song, showcasing the storyline of both the ballad, as well as Francois’ outstanding musical performance on the decades old Yamaha harmonium pump organ used in the song. Portraying lovers on the beach during the golden sunset, the video for “Paper Planes” follows a couple through a summer vacation where nothing matters except being together. With detailed attention paid to the imagery, lighting, and overall feeling that the video evokes, Francois’ video for the ballad beautifully captures the storyline, emotion, and warmth of the song, offering fans and soon-to-be fans a visual element to his truly outstanding talent.

With intimate, organic, acoustic performances surrounded by cinematic and electronic elements, “Paper Planes” is a beautifully crafted pop song and is the second single off of Francois’ upcoming album “Adventure Book”. The song, written on a decades old Yamaha pump organ, was co-produced by Vancouver artist/producer Sean Wharton (On Planets) who also played strings, and was vocally produced by Justin Abedin (Jacksoul, Matt Dusk), who Klark worked with while a backup vocalist on Canadian Idol. Combining anthemic strings with a pop melody, “Paper Planes” peacefully and romantically describes a couple watching the sunset and getting lost in a little vacation town, unfazed and unworried about not knowing where they are because they have each other.

Late summer memories imbued with honeyed vocals, sun-drenched violin swells, and lush pop production steadily dripping like thick molasses over a sticky groove that blurs the lines between organic and electronic. ‘Paper Planes’ is a cinematic ballad poetically painting vivid snapshots portraying two lovers, unbound by the constraints of time and seemingly lost to the world, sharing intimate moments in a small forgotten beach town. – Francois Klark
