“‘Ghost’ is about generational/ancestral trauma,” said Sunny Riot. “The patterns and actions and my thinking that I despised at the time couldn’t seem to stop; baggage that landed on my lap that I picked it up without question and assumed it was mine; It was never mine, it was never my parents, it wasn’t even their parents.”

He continues, “The chorus melody came out of me. All the times I wanted to kill myself because I hated the way I felt or the things I was doing. Then the realization came that I didn’t have to kill myself, that would be killing the wrong person, I just had to kill the ghost inside my head.”
