Up and coming Americana artist Lisa Michelle Anderson is back with her latest single, “Get to Somewhere,” a powerful anthem that blends folk, rock, and country influences into an evocative tale of wanderlust and self-discovery. With her signature heartfelt vocals and storytelling prowess, Anderson transports listeners to the crossroads of decision and destiny, reflecting on a life shaped by adventure, uncertainty, and the search for something greater.
Inspired by her own journey— from small-town Kansas to the stages of Branson, Missouri, and beyond—”Get to Somewhere” captures the essence of longing for new horizons. Anderson’s raw and honest lyrics are complemented by rich instrumentation, featuring the talents of her stellar band, including keyboardist Simon Guthrie and drummer G. Winnard. The track is a testament to her ability to blend personal history with universal themes, inviting listeners into a deeply relatable experience.
“At 18, I had to choose between Nashville and California, and I went west—working odd jobs, including as a knife thrower’s assistant, just to keep my dream alive,” Anderson recalls. “That feeling of restlessness and needing to move forward has never left me, and ‘Get to Somewhere’ is my way of sharing that part of my story.”
With her upcoming debut full-length LP set for release the 4th of April, Lisa Michelle Anderson is securing her seat at the Americana table.
