Los Angeles-based rocker, The Greatest Entertainer, isn’t your run of the mill rock and roll story. For starters, he’s nearing 60 years-old and this is his first release. That might fly for a country-leaning singer/songwriter. But this is balls to the wall rock and roll. So how did we get here?
He’s amassed a half a million followers and over a billion views across social media with ridiculous fitness-themed YouTube videos. So he’s taking that adoration from the masses and taking them on a journey into rock and roll stardom. He’s already dropped two singles, his de facto theme song, “That’s Why They Call Me The Greatest” and a rather addicting ode to working out, called “Get in the Gym.” Now we get the inspirational, percussive-heavy “Synergy.”
With lyrics like “You know We live for it, We don’t Give up on it, You can rely on it, So just believe in it” and those driving drums, it’s a great song to include in your workout mix. Honestly, all three of his singles are great workout jams. The one thing we’d like to see moving forward is some variation in his fast-talk-style vocals. The choruses all rock. But the verses all sound pretty similar. But we’re not here to nit-pick. The dude decided one day to become a rock star and he’s well on his way.
Synergy is releasing tomorrow, August 25th.
