Los Angeles duo They Kiss have premiered a video for their latest single, “Radio,” today via Under The Radar. The track, out now via Cash NYC Records, is featured on the soundtrack for ‘The Gateway’, out now via Lionsgate. Watch + share via YouTube. Directed by Emmy nominated Michele Civetta, who also helmed ‘The Gateway’, the video is a trip back in time to the days of early analogue-era MTV. Discussing, They Kiss’ Anna Makovchik and Francesco Civetta, aka Cash, noted, “The song channels a sentimental emotional sonic space which hits at the heart of the era we set out to create an homage to. A nod to ‘80s tongue-n-cheek teen comedies, John Hughes, and the absurdity of the decade.”

z“Radio” was co-written by They Kiss and Alexander Dexter-Jones; co-produced with Mikalai Skrobat (G.O.O.D. Music), and mixed by Ben Rosen, and features drums, plus additional guitars from Alex Carapetis of The Voidz. The track will be featured on an upcoming album in the new year.

They Kiss emerged in 2020, with the singles “I Gave It All” and “This Love Is Real,”garnering feature in the LA Weekly who said They Kiss recall, “the likes of Blondie, but also synth pop icons such as Depeche Mode,” and Buzzbands LA who stated, “[They Kiss] light a fire under the vintage sounds of British trip-hop and ’80s synth-pop and let it simmer into the future.”

Prior to They Kiss, Anna was a multi-instrumentalist and the lead singer-songwriter in Kiwi Time, out of San Francisco. Cash, leads Cash and the Whitelinez, and is a seasoned international DJ, touring the world playing festivals and movie premiere parties. Their paths converged organically, both artists connected creatively into a seamless collaboration, fueled by their love of rock & roll, British trip-hop, grunge, and 80’s synth-pop.
