Quarantine hasn’t slowed down Canada’s fastest rising star, MacKenzie Porter. With her career streams climbing exponentially, Porter has also spent the past few weeks making appearances on Canada’s largest national entertainment programs — ET Canada(Canada Together: In Concert), The Morning Show (Global) and eTalk.
Add to that, the news that “These Days” is TOP 10 most added at US Country radio, and has become GOLD-certified in Canada, it’s clear that Alberta’s MacKenzie Porter has set her sights sky-high in 2020.

“SEEING OTHER PEOPLE” SOARS INTO CANADIAN TOP 20
In February this year, Porter released the follow-up to her historic 2019 back-to-back #1s, her third single on Big Loud Records, “Seeing Other People.” The track is a painfully-relatable homage to one of the hardest moments following a break-up. The success of this single has been palpable. Since its release, the track has earned 8M streams, sits in the Top 20 at Canadian Country radio and its heartfelt lyric video has been viewed 1.8M times. These impressive stats have made “Seeing Other People” one of the most streamed and the #1 most viewed (YouTube) Canadian Country songs currently on the radio charts.
On the road, Porter has spent the last 12 months criss-crossing the US and Canada, opening for the likes of Chris Lane, Blanco Brown, Dallas Smith, Dean Brody, and – most recently – as direct support on Brad Paisley’s World Tour 2020. Porter also performed and presented on the 2019 CCMA Awards.
2019 saw Porter make history as the first solo female to notch back-to-back #1 singles at Canadian Country radio in 22 years with “These Days” and “About You,” succeeding Shania Twain who last held the honour in 1998.
Porter continues to support “Seeing Other People”’s Country radio climb from her home in Nashville, while concurrently setting up the release of “These Days – Remix,” which will head to Pop radio on June 1.
Porter’s catalogue has amassed 50 Million streams globally since making her return to music in late 2018. Fans can expect new music due out later this year.

ABOUT MACKENZIE PORTER
Singer-songwriter MacKenzie Porter is a rising Country talent whose sound knows no borders. Signed to Big Loud Records, Porter is surging now with an arsenal of new music produced by Joey Moi (Jake Owen, Morgan Wallen). Since moving to Nashville in 2014 from her native Canada, she’s developed a radiant Country style which threads the needle between traditional heart and modern energy, often collaborating with songwriting mainstays like Nicolle Galyon, Craig Wiseman, Natalie Hemby, and Tommy English. Her “mesmerizing vocals and hook-driven songs” (Billboard) have sparked a list of headline-worthy accolades, including a prestigious nomination for Country Album of the Year at the 2015 JUNO Awards and three Female Artist of the Year nominations from the Canadian Country Music Awards. Making her mark, Porter became the first female artist to have back-to-back #1 singles at Canadian Country radio in 22 years with “About You,” and “These Days” in early 2020, following Shania Twain in 1998. She’s toured extensively on her own, sharing the stage with Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Chris Lane, Blake Shelton and Dallas Smith, and also co-starred in the Netflix series, “Travelers.”
