The French Family Band Bio:

Country music runs deep in The French Family Band. Led by New Zealand-born singer Camille and virtuoso Australian guitarist Stuie French, the Nashville-based group blends family harmony, masterful musicianship and a lifetime of shared musical roots. Stuie’s guitar playing – shaped by jazz, western swing and American hillbilly music, has earned admiration from players around the world, while Camille’s voice carries the warmth, clarity and emotional depth that only true country music delivers. When their son Sonny joined the band on guitar and vocals, the family sound became something truly special – tight harmonies and instinctive musical chemistry that can only come from family.

The group made four appearances on the legendary Grand Ole Opry in 2023—proof enough that their brand of traditional country still has a powerful place in today’s world. Ringing endorsements from legends like Marty Stuart, Connie Smith and Tommy Emmanuel don’t hurt either.

Stuie and Camille moved to Nashville with their three children in 2019 after building a stellar reputation in Australia over nearly two decades of touring as the duo Camille and Stuie. They arrived with no job offers, just eleven suitcases between them—and a leap of faith that would define their next chapter. So committed to building a life in Music City, the family even purchased their home sight unseen before setting foot in the United States.

When the pandemic halted touring, the band pivoted to Facebook Live concerts from their Nashville home, a move that introduced their music to a global audience. The response was extraordinary, helping them grow a worldwide fan base and build a social following now numbering well over 180,000 fans.
