Photos and Review by David Molnar – Under a light drizzle, concert goers lined a wet Main St. in Worcester, Massachusetts patiently waiting for the doors of the historic Palladium Theatre to open on a chilly, gray Sunday afternoon. Some metalheads were huddled under small umbrellas and many were dressed in damp black hoodies sporting the logo of their favorite band from long passed concerts. But even the light rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of these die-hard heavy metal fans as they entered the venue which on this day was hosting the 2025 Chaos & Carnage Tour as it roared through New England. The tour has been a relentless storm of unforgettable performances packing venues nationwide.

The tour, marking its sixth consecutive year, has been a showcase for the elite forces in the heavy metal music scene. With this year’s tour winding down, fans across the country are still buzzing from the sonic destruction delivered at each stop. This year’s tour brought together an incredible powerhouse lineup that included Corpse Pile, Vomit Forth, Undeath, progressive metal masters Ne Obliviscaris, the symphonic titans Fleshgod Apocalypse, and for the first time, co-headliners Cradle of Filth and Dying Fetus..

A standout addition to the weekend’s performance was Ne Obliviscaris, a six-piece Australian progressive metal band with violinist and vocalist Tim Charles. The group delivered a powerful performance. The metal band opened their Palladium set with the song “Equus” from their album Exul.  Their emotional delivery and technical mastery made for an incredible live experience earning them new fans along the way. Another standout was the Italian symphonic death metal band Fleshgod Apocalypse with singer Veronica Bordacchini and her operatic vocals.

The English extreme metal band Cradle of Filth, a long-time crowd favorite, unleashed a gothic storm with songs like “Her Ghost in the Fog,” “To Live Deliciously,” and “Death Magik.” Their theatrical performance, complete with haunting visuals and Dani Filth’s signature shrieks, left Filthlings a name given to the band’s fans, howling for more. Next entered the band Dying Fetus. Bathed in ominous red light, the band opened their set with their song “Praise the Lord (Opium of the Masses),” igniting immediate chaos in the pit. The American death metal trio was razor-sharp with top-notch drums, bass, guitar and vocals which elevated their status on this tour.

As the tour prepares to conclude on May 14 in Denver, Colorado, it leaves behind a trail of satisfied metalheads and packed venues across the United States and Canada. The 2025 Chaos & Carnage Tour has proven itself yet again to be a cornerstone of the heavy metal music scene with thundering performances. The echoes of this year’s Chaos & Carnage Tour will be felt long after the final note fades.
