Canadian alt-pop artist Brock Geiger is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of his new album, Some Nights out on March 18. The album will be available digitally and on limited edition vinyl (pre-order). In anticipation of the release, Brock Geiger has unveiled his latest single, “After Later, which is now streaming on all digital platforms.

Following the release of previous singles “Steps Taken” and “Lemonade,” and their accompanying videos, “After Later” takes a departure from the album’s more rhythmically charged tracks, offering a glimpse into the more introspective side of Brock Geiger’s musical vision. Produced at the iconic Sound City Studios in Los Angeles by Brock Geiger and Grammy Award-winning producer Will Maclellan (Boy Genius, Phoebe Bridgers), the track is a haunting blend of 1960s avant-pop with a contemporary twist. The minimalist arrangement of “After Later” features Brock Geiger’s evocative vocals, with a standout performance from saxophonist Sam Gendel, whose swells bring an unexpected depth to the piece.

Brock Geiger describes the song as a reflection on “the nonlinear nature of understanding ourselves and our experiences.” He continues, “‘After Later’ was written at a time in my life when I could clearly see the door to an ending I needed, but found myself walking deeper into the maze. The title itself is a playful combination of words that evokes a feeling of being suspended in time—a sense of being stuck in a vague future that you can’t quite pin down.”

Some Nights marks a major milestone in Brock Geiger’s career. As an artist with a decade-long history of collaboration on nearly fifty records, Brock Geiger has built a reputation as a musical chameleon—both as a performer and a producer. With Some Nights, he steps into the spotlight with a bold, original take on alternative-pop and indie rock. The album explores a dynamic range of sonic territory, from the explosive guitar leads of “Steps Taken” to the dreamy, groove-centric title track. The ten tracks on Some Nights are an eclectic mix of intimate, ambient moments and more expansive, experimental arrangements, all tied together by Geiger’s refined sense of melodic pop craftsmanship.

Produced alongside long-time friend and collaborator Will Maclellan, Some Nights was recorded at both Sound City Studios in LA and Brock Geiger’s own Studio B in Calgary. The album features contributions from a talented crew of musicians, including Matt Chamberlain (drums), Gabe Noel (bass), Sam Gendel (saxophone), and Clea Anaïs (vocals), adding to the album’s rich, layered sound.
