Photos by William Smith – Last week in Cincinnati, Chance brought out the 2016 nostalgia of his critically acclaimed mixtape, The Coloring Book. 10 years since it’s debut, Chance showed the Cincinnati crowd he hasn’t missed a beat. Opening the show was up-and-coming New Orleans rapper La Reezy. With his sharp, vulnerable lyrics and commanding stage presence, he not only proved why he belongs on the stage but also showed why he’s here to stay.
Once La Reezy finished his set, Chance came out spitting the hard-hitting, inspirational lyrics from “All We Got,” which instantly lifted the crowd’s spirit. Throughout his performance, vivid and vibrant colors splashed across the stage, a nod to the iconic covers he blessed fans with throughout his career. All in all, fans of Chance the Rapper will not only see something refreshing from his opener La Reezy, but they’ll also experience a colorful, spiritual, and nostalgic show they’ll remember for a lifetime.
