As the Reklaws head into the summer season, it’s clear they are already heating things up with the record-setting success of their virial TikTok hit “What The Truck” feat. Sacha. The track has become the fastest-rising Canadian country song in history to earn 1M+ Domestic streams. Coming together through a viral TikTok from The Reklaws (that quickly shot to 1M+ views!) where the duo asked followers to write the next verse of the song, “What The Truck” was truly born when they received a submission from fellow Canadian country artist, Sacha.

With both Jenna & Stu being advocates of supporting emerging artists, they invited Sacha to feature on the song and it’s clear they made the right decision. The track made history earning 450K+ Domestic streams in its debut week, securing more streams than any other Canadian Country song ever released during a one-week period. The #whatthetruck hashtag on TikTok has also garnered over 1.5M+ views and counting. “What The Truck” also currently holds the top spot on TikTok’s Country playlist in both the U.S. and Canada.

No stranger to success, The Reklaws have taken the world by storm since their debut in 2018 with the PLATINUM-certified single “Long Live the Night.” The brother-sister duo from rural Ontario currently hold two #1s at Canadian Radio (“Feels Like That,” “Can’t Help Myself” with Dean Brody) as well as 5 GOLD and 2 PLATINUM singles as well as a GOLD-certified debut album (Freshman Year). They also hold 4 of the top 20 streamed singles by Canadian Country artists since 2019 (more than any other artist) and have the most domestically streamed debut album in Canadian country history.

With 165M+ Global Streams and a 2021 JUNO Awards nomination for Group of the Year, the only country act nominated in the category, it’s evident that The Reklaws are doing things a bit differently and the world is taking notice. 2021 has much more in store for Canada’s fastest rising stars.

The duo are currently in the studio working on new music and will be on the road this summer and fall playing as many shows as restrictions allow. Catch their first show back at the CityView Drive-In on July 8th (Toronto).
